Plastic Soup Foundation invited Dirty Beach to Amsterdam to create a TruCost pop-up Plastic Soupermarket at Tolhuistin during Sail Festival 2015, which draws around 1.7 million visitors to the city.
All of the plastics displayed were collected from the Ij and North Sea beaches by a fantastic team of volunteers for Plastic Soup Foundation, then washed and sorted. They were then labelled & branded, and arranged on supermarket shelving provided by Eko Plaza, one of the first European supermarket chains dedicated to better working practices and reducing plastic waste.
